Role: Lead Motion Designer / CG Generalist
Partners: Kuna Films · Quantex
Brief
Create a physically accurate CG animation that communicates key messages and presents the sprayer in the strongest light—delivered in a structure that the edit house can easily re-cut across formats.
What I did
CAD to animation: inspected, cleaned, and optimised the engineering model (naming, hierarchy, normals, triangulation/decimation where needed) for stable animation in Cinema 4D.
Look-dev for realism: built precise materials (metals, polymers, seals), consistent real-world scale/units, and controlled lighting to read form and function.
Narrative & messaging: storyboarded beats around core USPs (single-use pump, reliability, efficiency), balancing clarity with a premium aesthetic.
Render strategy: Octane look-dev and rendering with AOVs/passes for flexible grade/compositing.
Key responsibilities
CAD clean-up & topology optimisation (ZBrush/C4D tools).
Rigging/animation for functional parts and exploded/section views.
Texturing, lighting, and camera design for readable detail.
Pass management (beauty + utility AOVs) and colour-managed delivery.
Technical highlights
Cinema 4D: scene assembly, rig/animate, cameras.
Octane: photoreal materials, HDRI/studio lighting, AOVs.
ZBrush/C4D: decimation, retopo, UV touch-ups where helpful.
Outcome
A crisp, physically credible product film that translates complex engineering into an easy-to-grasp story.
